How to configure WSDL schemas

A WSDL schema is automatically generated when the API is built. Any changed to the API are automatically updated in the WSDL schema.

For versioning, it's recommended to also introduce a new version number of the API whenever major changes to the API have been made. This way, the connections of clients with older version remain functional without any disruptions.

It is also possible to connect a custom WSDL to an API. This is only applied in practice when certain clients are encountering problems with connecting with the API. One pitfall of implementing a custom WSDL schema could be that you could forget to update the custom schema if the API is changed in the meantime.

Attention! Always first make a backup of the WSDL schemas before making any changes!
